Real technique
Positions, escapes, movement, and controlled partner practice. No watered-down drills and no pressure to perform toughness.
A dedicated teen class is being built in Dripping Springs for students ready for real technique, honest challenge, and a team that treats them like young adults.
Schedule forming now. Joining the list does not commit your family to enrollment.
They need challenge that feels real, coaching that respects their independence, and a peer group where progress means something. This program is being built for that exact stage.
Positions, escapes, movement, and controlled partner practice. No watered-down drills and no pressure to perform toughness.
A focused 13-17 cohort gives teenagers room to train with people facing a similar stage of school, responsibility, and growth.
Effort becomes visible through skills learned, decisions improved, and the ability to reset after something does not work.
The mat creates a structured place to make a decision, meet resistance, reset after a mistake, and try again. Those are useful repetitions. They are not promises or slogans. They are part of learning real Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
The goal is not aggression. It is capable movement, clear decisions, safe boundaries, and the confidence that comes from doing difficult work with control.
Pause, breathe, assess the position, and choose the next useful action instead of reacting blindly.
Learn where force belongs, when to stop, how to tap, and why a safe training partner matters.
Technique gives honest feedback. Students can learn to review what happened without blame or embarrassment.
Develop balance, coordination, mobility, and conditioning through a skill that has a clear purpose.
When the first move is blocked, students practice adjusting angle, timing, leverage, or sequence.
Share difficult work with peers, help partners improve, and contribute to a room built on respect rather than hype.
The final class length and days will be confirmed before launch. The teaching sequence will stay direct, active, and age-appropriate.
Get moving, check in, and prepare to train.
Clear instruction with a reason behind each detail.
Repeat the movement with useful partner feedback.
Introduce resistance, timing, and another route.
Name what worked, reset, and leave with a next step.

Not yet. The dedicated teen cohort is in the interest-list stage. No start date or weekly class time has been promised. Families on the list will be contacted when Joao confirms the initial schedule.
Teenagers need a different tone, peer group, pace, and level of responsibility. The program is being designed as its own cohort, not as an older corner of a children's class.
The launch plan is designed to welcome both beginners and teens with prior experience. Students will learn safety, tapping, partner expectations, and core positions before pressure increases.
No. The list helps Joao understand demand, ages, location preference, and workable times. Your family can review the confirmed schedule before making any decision.
Family responses will be reviewed alongside coaching and facility availability. The goal is to choose a time that can support a consistent peer group rather than publish a class nobody can attend.
Select Austin or Either location in the form. Initial interest is being measured for Dripping Springs, but Austin demand should still be recorded instead of guessed.
Tell us the student's age, preferred location, and realistic availability. That gives Joao a concrete picture of the first cohort before a schedule is announced.
